I am equally as excited to hear that mix tape Arctic Monkeys play while setting up/ at the end of the show as I am to see them perform live. It’s a mix I have heard over 20 times and it still has the power to make me tear up. It always brings me back to that strange place which holds no boundaries. I can’t get that feeling anywhere else in the world. And that’s a fact.

Cat and I are trying to remember all the songs on that mix. This is what we have so far…

  • Who Loves The Sun - velvet underground
  • Kick In The Door - Notorious BIG
  • Nitroglycerine - the gories
  • Strange - Patsy Cline
  • Darklands - Jesus and Mary Chain
  • Pretty Woman - Roy Orbison
  • It’s A Living Thing - Elo
  • Waterfall - Stone Roses

There’s still a lot more to go!

anyone think of anymore? We have both possibly heard this mix tape atleast 30 times between us (I even heard it twice over before the bands even started in Perth) but when it comes to thinking of what was on it again you cant… you just stand there waiting and enjoying every song thats being played (its a brilliant mix tape) and when it comes to remembering it later, its gone.

I know for a fact that The Rolling Stones were in there. Recognised that tune but I can’t remember the name of the song.
